Keywords

If you are going to submit your web page to a "Search Engine" you must include keywords in the head portion of your web page for the search engine to find.

Search engines use different strategies when examining your submission, but it is a pretty safe bet that if you have a descriptive title, keywords and the repetition of them in the first 2,000 characters of your web page, it will have a positive impact.

Following are some examples of HTML coding for the title of your page and keywords:

<HEAD>

<META NAME="KEYWORDS" CONTENT="Free,free,newsletter,Newsletters,articles,Articles, Authors,authors,Subscribe,Business,Business Ads,Free Ads,free ads,Offers,Links,Bulletin Board,Scams,scams,Consumer Protection,Spain,Pictures,Subscribe,Stress,Auto-responder, auto-responder,Web Page Design,Marketing,Motivation,MLM,Multilevel Marketing,Motivational,Publishing,Flea Markets,Technology,Trade Shows,newsletters,Direct Mail,email,e-mail,E-mail,Home,Home Business,Business,Internet,Legal,Mail Order,Management, Articles">

In the Keywords section I tried to think of any word or combination of words, that someone might enter if looking for our type of Web Page. Notice that a comma separates each keyword or combination.

This is what I use, but many people feel that you should simply repeat all of your keywords as the title. I don't personally do this as I feel it looks tacky. What I do is have a second list of keywords that I display as a comment in the HEAD section as follows:

<! Newsletters Direct Mail email e-mail E-mail Home Business Internet Legal Mail Order Management Articles Subscribe Business Ads Offers Links Bulletin Board Scams Consumer Protection Spain Pictures Subscribe Stress Free Autoresponder Web Page Design Marketing Motivation MLM Multilevel Marketing Motivational Publishing Flea Markets Technology Trade Shows>

This is not seen by the reader of the web page but is seen by the search engines.

You should also try to use your keywords on the first (visible) part of your web page. The more you reference the keywords, the greater weight they are given by most of the search engines.
