Look Younger, Feel Younger
Mangosteen juice, the category creator, whole food fruit juice supplement marketed by Xango has helped me to be able to lie gracefully about my age. Strangers are agog when they hear I am 74 years young. It didn't happen over night but it happened. See my profile for a current picture. Interested?

Tip of the DayStop Hijackers
Basically, a computer hijacker is any type of software that messes with your Web browser. They begin by resetting the preferences you have chosen and they then point that information to other Web sites. For example, a hijacker may work to reroute the information you have set in place, along with any Web address requests that you make. The hijacker will point that information to some sort of unseen site and with doing that, they are able to capture all of that material. If something like this happens, your Web browser may still work the same, but it will react much slower.
There are a couple of other types of hijacks as well, including search and homepage hijacks. A search hijacker will change all of the search settings you have chosen and a homepage hijacker will change your preferred homepage to a completely different site. I'm sure you've all had experience with a homepage hijack before, am I right? You choose a site to be your homepage and then the next time you open your browser, it has changed. How frustrating!
Hijacking has been known for awhile now, but it's still pretty popular. It may not be as scary as a virus, but it still has its downfalls. If you ever get caught in a hijack, there are some pretty simple ways to fix them. See, what the hijackers are doing is messing with your registry keys. They go in and change certain settings so you're unable to do what you intended to on your computer.
So, to fix the search hijack, open Internet Explorer and go to Tools, Options, Programs tab. You will see a listing of some of your Internet services. Look past those and in the bottom left hand corner, there is a button that says "Reset Web Settings." Click that and the registry keys will be renewed. Click OK when you're finished.
To fix the homepage problem, you have to disable some scripting within your browser. In Internet Explorer, go to Tools, Options, Security tab. Make sure the Internet icon is highlighted and click on the Custom Level button. Scroll down to the Scripting area and choose the Disable option under the "Active scripting" and "Scripting of Java applets" choices. Click OK twice.
Now you should be safe from any hijackers who may try and hit your computer.

Today's Highlight in History
Berners-Lee Proposes World Wide Web
On this date in 1990, Tim Berners-Lee circulated a draft of a proposal for a hypertext system, which he called the World Wide Web. Berners-Lee was a British computer scientist on fellowship at CERN, the European Particle Physics Laboratory in Geneva, Switzerland.
By 1990, he had created the basic parameters of the World Wide Web. A working version was posted on CERN's internal computers in May 1991. In August 1991, Berners-Lee released Web files and requested input from other developers, and by the beginning of the next year, the Web was widely discussed.
In early 1993, when Marc Andreessen and other graduate students at the University of Illinois released the Mosaic browser (Netscape's precursor), the Web rapidly became a popular medium.

Clearing Clutter Finds You More Energy
by Sandy KarnI just spent a week experiencing some of the facts around what we think we need and what we really need. I was in the process of moving around boxes and dumping stuff I don't need and giving to charity stuff that is still good when the San Diego Wildfires took priority in my life.
I was out of danger most of the time, but they don't call those fires Wildfires for nothing. By the time I got to mid- week, I had to stop unpacking boxes to packing my most prized possessions because there was no guarantee the Santa Ana Winds were going to behave themselves on my behalf.
What was interesting was, I spent half a day packing what I considered important and still only had 3 boxes. I tried to figure out what would cause me the most inconvenience if my house burned and what I wanted of family things to load up the car and leave. I put a lot of business inventory with me of The DISC Profiles in the trunk of my car, my 3 boxes and took off to stay with family for 2 days.
What amazed me was how little I needed so now I am more motivated than ever to dump more of "my stuff". It still takes time, but it takes less time for me to make up my mind about what I truly need and what I don't really need and my clutter is becoming less and less.
Every time I decide to clean out, I find that I have more energy to live happier. I am convinced I need to clean out more often and not let anything accumulate for too long.
Letting go is a wonderful way to get more results. I hope that works for you too on a regular basis.
Wishing You the Very Best!

A Little Humor to Start the WeekBasement Pitch
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=The telephone solicitor selling basement waterproofing must have thought she'd died and gone to heaven when she reached my very polite and patient son on the phone. At the end of her long sales pitch, she asked, "Do you mind if we send out someone to give you an estimate?"
"Not at all," my son said."When would be a good time?" she asked.
My son answered, "Just as soon as I dig a basement."

One of my friends at work was talking to her five year old grandson who lives in AZ.
The grandson was telling his grandmother about his friend who had a lizard for a pet. He continued on telling her that the lizard was dying. When she asked how he knew it was dying he told her it was really sick. She then asked what the lizard was sick with.
The little boy thought a moment and said, "I think it has reptile dysfunction."

A woman had gained a few pounds. It was most noticeable to her when she squeezed into a pair of her old blue jeans. Wondering if the added weight was noticeable to everyone else, she asked her husband, "Honey, do these jeans make me look like the side of the house?"
"No, dear, not at all," he replied, "Our house isn't blue."
He is almost over the cold he caught sleeping in the garage for 3 nights.

Once upon a time there was a beautiful princess named Anna. Anna's father, the King, wanted to be sure his daughter married an intelligent man. To test his daughter's suitors the King hid Anna's picture in one of three boxes. The suitor had to be able to select the box with Anna's picture on one try and within twenty seconds.
On the gold box was the message "Anna's picture is in this box". The silver box had the message "Anna's picture is not in this box." "Anna's picture is not in the gold box" was written on the bronze box.
The King would tell each suitor "Only one of the three messages is correct." Which box contained Anna's picture?

"Cooking for the Empty Nest"
Recipe of the Week
by Susan KempTeriyaki chicken wings
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup lightly packed brown sugar
1 tablespoon garlic -- finely chopped
1 tablespoon grated ginger root
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/4 cup water
1 tablespoon sesame oil
20 chicken wings
2 tablespoons sesame seedsIn a small saucepan, combine the soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, cayenne pepper, and 1/4 cup water. Bring to a boil, stirring to dissolve the brown sugar. Allow to cool to room temperature. Add the sesame oil and stir well. With a sharp knife, remove the tips from the chicken wings. Put the wings in a large lock-top bag and add the soy sauce mixture. Seal and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour or as long as 4 hours. Turn the bag occasionally to coat all of the wings. Remove the wings from the bag. Sprinkle evenly with the sesame seeds. Pour the marinade into a small saucepan over high heat, bring to a boil for 1 minute, and remove from heat. Grill the chicken wings directly over medium heat, turning once and basting occasionally with the boiled marinade, until the juices run clear, 14 to 16 minutes total. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Solution for the Riddle
The silver box contained Anna's picture.
If her picture had been in the gold box, two statements would have been true. (The messages on both the gold box and the silver box.)
If her picture had been in the bronze box, two statements would have been true. (The messages on the bronze box and the silver box.)
According to a recent survey, men say the first thing they notice about a women are their eyes.
And women say the first thing they notice about men is they're a bunch of liars.
