When you shop online, have you ever noticed that most big Web sites usually have a little box on the checkout page where you can enter a promotional code? This promotional code primarily gets you a discount on the total purchase you are making. Most people don’t know this, but it doesn’t take anything special to get these promotional codes. It has been quite awhile since people have been Googling for promo codes and using them while shopping online, but there's no doubt it’s a bit of a time consuming job.
All these promo codes are available in a single place so that they are easily accessible to anyone. The Web site is called RetailMeNot and the concept is rather simple. You simply visit the site, search for the online store in which you want the promotional code for, and it will pull up the results for you.
When you use a promotional code that you found on this Web site, it’s always a good idea to vote whether it worked for you or not. As you can see on the search results page, it also tells you the success rate of the given promotional code. It’s useful for potential users to know how successful a particular coupon code was so that they don’t waste their time trying a code that was already found unsuccessful. Similarly, another way to give back to the community is to submit any promotional coupons that you might have access to.

Today's Highlight in History
Lincoln's Gettysburg Address
President Abraham Lincoln delivers one of the most famous speeches in American history at the dedication of the military cemetery at Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. Using just 272 words, Lincoln brilliantly and movingly articulated the meaning of the conflict for a war-weary public.
For some time, Lincoln had been planning to make a public statement on the significance of the war and the struggle against slavery. In early November, he received an invitation to speak at the dedication of part of the Gettysburg battlefield, which was being transformed into a cemetery for the soldiers who had died in battle there from July 1 to 3, 1863. A popular myth suggests that Lincoln hastily scribbled his speech on the back of an envelope during his trip to Gettysburg, but he had actually begun crafting his words well before the trip.
At the dedication, the crowd listened for two hours to Edward Everett before Lincoln approached the podium. His address lasted just two minutes, and many in the audience were still making themselves comfortable when he finished. Lincoln succinctly stated the purpose of the Northern war effort: "It is rather for us to be here dedicated to the great task remaining before us-that from these honored dead we take increased devotion-that we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain-that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom-and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth."
Perhaps no other person has so eloquently defined the American vision as Lincoln did that day at Gettysburg.

As far as quality leads - you have to have patience. Traditionally this is a slow time of the year for this kind of ad. BUT - it is a good time to advertise as you are getting your message out, and it takes normally 5 to 7 exposures to an ad before someone will contact you. You should see some positive results after the first of the year. Your ad below should draw some response.

Your career has its up's and down's. Is this a down period for you? If it is, the good news is it's up from here.
Everyone has it tough in their career from time to time. If you work in a job long enough, sooner or later something challenging will happen to you. It's happens to us all. At moments like these, it's important to have faith and know that something wonderful is waiting for you around the corner.
Your challenge this week is to realize that tomorrow will be a better day. Tell yourself that this too shall pass. Decide to not let this situation get the better of you, and that you will begin working towards a solution.
One day you will understand why you were in the situation you were in. Everything happens for a reason. You just don't know the reason yet. So, what do you say? You only have one life to live, so it might as well be a life you love!

Volunteer Firefighter

Sitting at the kitchen table after dinner one night, my son-in-law was telling us that he'd finished his training for volunteer firefighting and was showing us his beeper. As he spoke, the beeper let out a shrill "there's a fire" message. Bryan nearly jumped over the table getting to the door. We watched him as he raced for the car and sped up the block to the fire hall.
"It's wonderful to know our firemen are trained to respond instantly," I said to my daughter. "I didn't know Bryan could move so fast."
"I hate to burst your bubble, Mom," she replied, "but the first guy there gets to drive the truck."

Presidential candidates, Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and John Edwardswere flying to a convention. Barack looked at Hillary, chuckled and said, 'You know, I could throw a $1,000 bill out of the window right now and make somebody very happy.'
Hillary shrugged her shoulders and replied, I could throw ten $100 bills out of the window and make ten people very happy.'
John added, 'That being the case, I could throw one hundred $10 bills out of the window and make a hundred people very happy.'
Hearing their exchange, the pilot rolled his eyes and said to his co-pilot, 'Such big-shots back there. I could throw all of them out of the window and make 156 million people very happy.'

Kids in Mrs. Thompson's class were asked to make sentences out of words chosen by the teacher.
Mrs. Thompson smiled when Mikey, a young-slacker,
raised his hand to participate during the challenge of making a sentence
of the
words "Defeat," "Defense," "Deduct," and "Detail."
Mikey stood up, thinking for a while, and all
the other kids focused on him while his classmates awaited his reply. Proudly,
he smiled and then shouted out,
"Defeat of deduct went over defense before detail."

"Cooking for the Empty Nest"
Recipe of the Week

Spinach souffle
3 Tblsp butter or margarine, melted
3 Tblsp flour
1/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
1/8 cup onion, very finely minced
1 cup milk or thin cream
1 cup cooked spinach
3 eggs, separated
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Mix together the butter, flour, seasonings and onions, gradually add the milk. Press spinach dry and put through a sieve, add to the flour mixture. Beat the egg yolks and add to the flour mixture. Fold in the grated cheese. Beat the egg whites until stiff and add to mixture. Pour into a buttered dish, and place dish into a larger pan containing hot water. Bake at 350F for 40 minutes. Serve when set.
