For the past two nights I watched the Bill O'Reilly show because I wanted to see the interview with Hillary Clinton. Now I really expected to see some fireworks, but "yawn," while O'Reily asked some questions I really wanted to know the answer to, they were cleverly side-stepped as I would have expected. What I didn't expect was O'Reilly being "kissy-kissy" instead of his usualy obnoxious self. Guess we'll never find out why she voted against  drilling for oil in Anwar, Alaska or against building new nuclear energy plants.

Launching Multiple Programs

Have you ever needed to launch multiple programs? Normally, you hit the Start button, Programs, then select the program you want to run. Once that one starts, you go back through and repeat the process for the next program. Well, here's a better and quicker way.

Next time you need to launch more than one program from your Programs menu at the same time, hold down your Shift key while you click the program's icon. The application will launch. Plus, you won't lose the Programs menu and have to start all over.

At the outpatient surgery center where I work, the anesthesiologist often chatted with patients before their operations to help them relax.

One day he thought he recognized a woman as a co-worker at the VA hospital where he had trained.

When the patient confirmed that his hunch was correct, he said, "So, tell me, is the food still as bad as it used to be?"

"Well, I suppose," she replied, "I'm still cooking there."

Mary was having a tough day and had stretched herself out on the couch to do a bit of what she thought to be well-deserved complaining and self- pitying. She moaned to her mom and brother, "Nobody loves me ... the whole world hates me!"

Her brother, busily occupied playing a game, hardly looked up at her and passed on this encouraging word: "That's not true, Mary. Some people don't even know you."

My brother, a trucker, is often caught in commuter rush-hour traffic. One morning when everything came to a standstill, he sat high up in his 18-wheeler singing and whistling.

A passenger in a nearby car, frustrated by the delay, yelled up at my brother, "What are you so happy about?" "I'm already at work!" he cheerfully replied.
