I have been watching with some interest the Democratic Primaries Coverage on TV. The give and take between the two combatants is better than any Soap Opera. With Hillary getting the majority of the votes of older white women and working class white males, and Obama getting over 90 percent of the black vote, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out what is going on.

I believe that the actions of these two people, have set race relations in this country back 20 years and that is a shame. Both candidates say however, that the sex or the race of the candidate has no bearing on their campaign tactics, and that is a crock.

In fact the only Soap that could even come close to this was the OJ Simpson Trial coverage. The jury's verdict, reached in less than four hours, was a climactic ending to the nine-month "trial of the century". In fact, if you think about it, there are a lot of similarities between the two - Marsha Clark vs. OJ - Hillary vs. Obama with a lot of “smoke and mirrors” on both sides in both instances.

I am getting the impression that a lot of people, especially the news media, are acting like this, the Democratic Primary, is the actual election and the winner of this contest will sit in the Oval Office at its conclusion in late August. I am also under the impression that the news media, who are supposed to be reporting news, are actually reporting in such a way as to influence the eventual outcome.

And then there is John McCain.

Have you ever wondered why people would work so hard for so long, and their party spend millions and millions of dollars for a job that pays $400,000. per year.  Or could it be the special interest groups would financially support Charles Manson or Homer Simpson if they thought they could win regardless of their abilities, and guarantee they continued to get their pork?

Start Menu Programs

How often do you look at the items under your Start menu?  Is everything there really necessary? With Windows, you can choose how many "recently used" programs show up in your Start menu that you visit on a pretty regular basis - this is how you can control it.

Right click on the Start button and choose Properties. From there, make sure you're under the General tab and look toward the middle of the box. It's there that you can either increase or decrease the number of programs that will be listed first in your Start menu. Mine is set to three, but you can set yours to zero or go all the way up to 30. It's completely up to you. The more you have there, the faster you can access those programs, but if that's not your style, choose something different.

I'm dyslexic, and attended a conference about the disorder with a friend. The speakers asked us to share a personal experience with the group. I told them stress aggravates my condition, in which I reverse words and letters when I'm tense.

When I finished speaking, my friend leaned over and whispered to me, "Now I know why you named your daughter Hannah."
