Get More Response From Email

Tens of millions of people use email every day. It is now by far the most popular feature of the Internet.

Many successful entrepreneurs have found they can do business with nothing more than an email address. Here are some simple ways to get more response from email messages.

1. Target your message. Response always goes up when you send your message to someone who is very likely to respond. That is why it is vital to build your own opt-in list of people who have already said they want your information.

2. Personalize your message. Prospects respond better when your message uses their name. Response goes up even higher when your message refers to their particular situation and offers a good-fitting solution.

3. Use a little html coding in your email address. mailto: before your email address makes it a live, clickable link on many email programs. Rather than typing your address into their email program, prospects can act on impulse and simply click your link.
 

Keep in mind that 60% of people don't type. Many more don't type very well or don't like to type. You can increase response by putting mailto: before your address and writing it: mailto:you@YourAddress.com?subject=Send_Me_Info

The prospect doesn't have to type anything to send the message. "Send Me Info" automatically shows up as the subject in their email message.

Is a Laptop For You?

There are now millions of people who own computers for their homes and many who use them at work, too.  The majority of consumers still cling to the desktop model while a significant number have made the transition to laptops. Ease of use and the ability to carry laptops just about anywhere are probably the two biggest reasons for the conversions.  If you are still using a desktop, here are some reasons you might consider going with a laptop instead.

A laptop weighs less than the traditional model of computer. This means that when you move furniture or clean around your desk area, it will be easier to lift your laptop or rearrange its location. You can scoot it forward or move it back, or change it from one desk to another without much concern about the possibility of damaging its components. Since it comes with a lid, or cover, you can close it up to keep the monitor and keyboard clean and tidy.

Coordination of functions between home and the office is a breeze thanks to the portable nature of laptops.  You no longer need to worry about losing those little disks that you had to save work on when trying to carry work between home and work because with a laptop all that is necessary is to turn the unit off and carry it home with you.  Using a USB port to accomplish the same thing is definitely an option, but why not use the same keyboard and file arrangement rather than trying to constantly adjust to two or more computers?

It is possible to use a laptop for several hours without needing to plug it in thanks to its battery.  This portable nature gives you the ability to record information, take notes, or any number of functions at meetings and presentations so you can get more value out of those events. If it is absolutely essential, you can finish up that report or presentation at the beach or park before calling it a day simply by taking your laptop with you.

Laptops definitely aren't going anywhere.  With technology advances, the laptop is likely to shrink in size while increasing in power and functions so that it may one day literally be a pocket computer.  Desktops have seen their best days and they will continue to yield market share to the laptops.  Innovative products like laptops can enable us to better link information in faster ways that can help us lead more leisurely, yet meaningful, lives.  If you are still slogging it out on a desktop, give some thought to getting a laptop for home or work.

Green Tea Extract And Cervical Dysplasia

Korean researchers have published a study that reveals a new potential application for green tea polyphenols: a treatment for cervical dysplasia caused by HPV (human papillomavirus).

Cervical dysplasia—abnormal cells that could potentially turn cancerous—is what the OB/GYN is looking for when she does a Pap smear, and she’s a lot more likely to find it in women who are infected with HPV. It is estimated that over 20 percent of young women (age 20 to 24) have HPV. It is believed to exist in 5 to 15 percent of all women, and often goes undetected until an abnormal Pap smear reveals it. One or another strain of HPV is found in almost 100 percent of cervical cancers. Some strains are more aggressive than others and more likely to end up causing cancer—which is diagnosed in 15,000 women a year and kills 5,000.

The Korean researchers performed a study where 51 women with varying severities of cervical dysplasia took green tea polyphenol supplements, used a green tea polyphenol ointment (applied to the dysplasia lesions on the cervix), or got both treatments. Their outcomes were compared with those of 39 cervical dysplasia patients who got no treatment (control group). Overall, the response rate—the reversal of the dysplasia—was 69 percent in treated women, compared with only 10 percent in the controls. Twenty of 24 women using ointment only had significant treatment response; six of eight using both the ointment and the capsule responded to therapy, as did 60 percent of those using capsules only.

If you are a woman with HPV and you haven't yet added green tea polyphenols to your supplement program, it may be time to do so now. The ointment used in the study was called Poly E, and other studies have shown it to be an effective topical treatment for cervical dysplasia lesions. If you have a positive Pap smear, talk with your OB/GYN about trying Poly E before having any surgical procedure to remove the tissue. Also, ramp up your dosage of B vitamins, especially folic acid and B6; and try using natural progesterone cream. Both the B vitamins and the natural hormones have been found to be effective at reversing cervical dysplasia.
