If Your Advertising Isn't Working....It May Be The Product

I've seen some good folks pour a trundle of money into advertising products and services, only to come up empty handed. "The ads didn't work!" they said in exasperation.

If you try good targeted advertising, you keep at it for a while, and yet nothing sells, step back. First take a look at your ad, then at your product.

A product that is only slightly different from many other products probably won't pass the "just noticeable difference test." That is where YOU notice the difference, but it's not different enough for customers to notice (I wrote an article on this once...see it at http://drnunley.com/MARKET.htm )

Price is also an important factor. If what you're selling could also be found at Walmart, or Staples, or Amazon.com at a cheaper price, your product or service had better offer a whole lot more to support a higher price.

Finally, your product or service may be too new--people just don't understand it--or it solves a need few people recognize they have.

5 Simple Steps to a Debt Free Life

As a home based business owner, I know how hard it is to get started.  Many of us get into some kind of debt before the money starts rolling in. That's when it's time to take action.

By taking a systematic approach of paying your credit cards, you can pay them all off, including your mortgage, in five -seven years, or less!

Most people are just paying their bills with no clear plan or direction. The best way to get rid of your debts is to attack them one by one until they are paid off.

Most people will pay just the minimum payments, which we all know will take forever to pay off.  Some also will pay $50 on one, $100 on another, and so forth.  This method will just prolong the agony of paying these debts for years.

Using my 5 step method will pay off your debts in the fastest time possible, including your mortgage and free up money for you to invest for your retirement or other long term goals.  The first 3 steps are as follows:

The first thing to do is to stop using the cards completely and live 100% on cash.  This will put a cap on what you owe, and will enable you to focus on the task at hand.  It's difficult to hit a moving target.

The second step is to list all your debts and rank them by how fast each one will be paid off.  I use a simple ranking system that really allows those debts to decrease the fastest, and it doesn't matter what the interest rates are.

Step three is to take the first debt and pay as much as possible on that first one, and pay only the minimum payment due on the rest.  The extra amount you pay on that first debt is what I call the "Debt Eliminator Payment".

It can be $100, $200 whatever you can do, each month, to focus like a laser beam on that debt.  It really is amazing how fast this works when done this way.

Most people feel that they don't have the extra money to pay, but I have shown people what I name my "money secrets" where I find anywhere from $100 to $200 extra dollars per month that you can use to pay against your debts.

Ultimately, the goal is to get rid of all your debts, including your mortgage and then use all that money you were spending on debts and begin to invest in retirement accounts and other investments. Using steps 4 and 5 will enable you to invest for retirement earn maximum gains, and save taxes at the same time.

Using this system, most people can be debt free in 5-7 years, and become financially independent in ten. Let's face it, if you have no debts, you have to work less, and eventually your investments will pay you more than your job!

That is real financial independence!

Hearing Aid

While talking with my semi-deaf uncle one evening, I noticed that his "hearing aid" was actually an earphone from a transistor radio.  The wire had been cut and was sticking out of his shirt.

"How does that help your hearing?" I asked.

"Don't help my hearing none," he replied.  "Makes people talk louder."

There was an old Red Wing Indian who wanted a loan for $500. The banker pulled out the loan application. "What are you going to do with the money?"

"Take jewelry to city and sell it," was the response.

"What have you got for collateral?"

"Don't know collateral."

"Well that's something of value that would cover the cost of the loan. Have you got any vehicles?"

"Yes, 1949 Chevy pickup."

The banker shook his head, "How about livestock?"

"Yes, I have a horse."

"How old is it?"

"Don't know, has no teeth."

Finally the banker decided to make the $500 loan. Several weeks later the old man was back in the bank. He pulled out a roll of bills, "Here to pay." he said. He then handed the banker the money to pay his loan off.

"What are you going to do with the rest of that money?"

"Put in tepee."

"Why don't you deposit it in my bank," he asked.

"Don't know deposit."

"You put the money in our bank and we take care of it for you. When you want to use it you can withdraw it."

The old Indian leaned across the desk, "What you got for collateral?"

Finally they came into a city. They saw a gentleman on the sidewalk, so they pulled up to the curb, and the lady rolled down her window and asked: "Excuse me, sir. Where are we?"

Grapefruit Seed Extract

Grapefruit Seed Extract is extracted from the pulp and seeds of grapefruit. It's wonderful for your skin care regiment because it is gentle enough not to cause irritation, but powerful enough to cleanse. Did you know that Grapefruit Seed Extract can also help you when it comes to cleaning your produce, poultry, and fish? The truth is, Grapefruit Seed Extract has been used for years to protect produce, poultry, and fish from parasites, bacteria, and fungus.

Produce, poultry, and fish all require washing in order to help remove the harmful pesticides and fungicides that are typically used on them. If you have been cleaning your produce with those spray-on produce/vegetable washes you're probably using a product that contains some type of harmful ingredient or "untouchable." This is why I suggest using a cleaner that contains Grapefruit Seed Extract which is a potent antimicrobial yet nontoxic and safe to use.

Here are a few tips that you may find helpful when it comes to cleaning your produce, poultry, and fish:

1. Find an organic cleanser that contains Grapefruit Seed Extract (GSE).

2. Invest in a natural bristle vegetable brush.

3. For fruits and veggies, clean with the GSE and the vegetable brush for a couple of seconds, giving them a good scrub and rinse under running water.

4. For more delicate fruits and veggies such as strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, and lettuce let them sit for a few minutes in a solution of water mixed with GSE. Once you remove the fruits and veggies, give them a quick rinse with water.

As always, I am a proponent of finding safe, effective, and toxic-free products to use in your life. I hope that you will take it upon yourself to become educated about the types of products that you are using not only in your daily personal care regimen, but also in your daily life.
