The best definition of prosperity I have ever heard came out of a little book written by Robert Russell called “You Too Can Be Prosperous.” He said it is not money and if you ask a hundred people what their idea of prosperity is you will get a hundred different answers.

Russell’s definition of prosperity is a state of well-being; it implies a free and easy access to all that is good and desirable, and connotes a free, complete and satisfying life. That works for me!  I like it!

So, I ask you what fills your mind these days and what focus are you holding onto most of the time? Both of these things will determine your consciousness, your results and your prosperity.

Your life is where your mind is! When you walk out of the past and into the NOW, that can influence the prosperity in your life.

It is a sense of freedom that is hard to come by. It goes deep. It is a simple principle, but I know it is not always easy to do.  Just remember the only moment in time you can change is the one you’re living in right now.

So here’s an assignment for you. Let’s practice every day and every moment this week to stay out of the past.  You monitor You! Your life is where your mind is and your focus is where you’re going.  There in lies your Optimal Results.

Wanna be a Bear?

If you're a bear, you get to hibernate. You do nothing but sleep for six months. I could deal with that.

Before you hibernate, you're supposed to eat yourself stupid. I could deal with that, too.

If you're a bear, you birth your children (who are the size of walnuts) while you're sleeping and wake to partially grown, cute cuddly cubs.  I could definitely deal with that.

If you're a mama bear, everyone knows you mean business. You swat anyone who bothers your cubs. If your cubs get out of line, you swat them too. I could deal with that.

If you're a bear, your mate EXPECTS you to wake up growling. He EXPECTS that you will have hairy legs.

Yup..... I wanna be a bear.

Once a young woman married a very wealthy man they lived 10 happy years together until he passed away, of course leaving her a very wealthy widow.

Still being young after her husband had been dead a few years she met an actor they married and she saw many Broadway shows, many of which he was the star, they traveled but after they'd been married about 10 years he too passed away.

This was 2 husbands she had to bury. Still being a young woman of about 40, she began going to church. She met their new pastor they fell in love and married, unfortunately after a few years he to passed away. Well this is her 3rd husband she'd had to bury.

Again still being a desirable woman she met a wonderful man, he was a mortician. After they'd been married about 5 years, she took ill and she passed away.

Some people say...that she married 1 for the money, 2 for the show 3 to get ready and 4 to GO...

The Hidden Costs Of Big Medicine

Have you ordered any medications from online pharmacies? If you have, you know that generally, you receive your medicine in a plastic bottle that is far larger in volume than the pills it contains. That plastic bottle, more often than not, comes either in a very large padded envelope or a big cardboard box, with all empty space filled with Styrofoam peanuts or plastic bubbles. (Let's make sure those pills don't break while they're being shipped, right?)

Wasteful. Very wasteful. And that's just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the waste of mainstream Big Medicine. Did you know that every hospital bed generates some 16 to 23 pounds of waste every day of the week? Current trends in building and renovation of hospitals are moving towards bigger rooms with thicker walls and more equipment that uses lots of electricity, wireless circuits, conduits, and plumbing. The typical modern hospital room's closest thing to nature is the pesticide-laden floral arrangements sent in by caring loved ones. Nature may heal, but hospitals don't currently make much of an effort to integrate it into their protocols. It's all about the high-tech, expensive avenues. After all, if a person's in the hospital, they need all that stuff...right?

Hospital waste contains considerably more plastic than does normal household waste. Burning it creates highly toxic dioxins; burying it in landfills allows PVCs and other persistent pollutants to enter the soils. It is estimated that in a single year, 12 billion pairs of latex gloves are used once by healthcare workers and tossed into the trash.

Sample pharmaceuticals are packaged in lots of plastic and cardboard. Hospital medical supplies? Packaging, packaging, and more packaging. Hospitals and other healthcare facilities are being built an incredible clip, with the growth of the health care industry moving almost twice as fast as the growth of other industries.

The gist of it is: the wastefulness and big expensive technology of Big Medicine creates a market for itself by destroying the natural world. Sort of a "snake-eating-its-own-tail" approach.

Think about it. Throughout history, the greatest advances in healthcare were the least high-tech: improvements in air and water quality, public works, attention to maintaining public health and preventive care. Modern medicine needs to set its sights back on these goals instead of on the latest, hottest trends in advanced technological treatments for people who could have been prevented from getting so gosh-darned sick in the first place.

By utilizing preventive methods—diet, supplements, exercise—and helping others to do the same, you can contribute: by keeping yourself and your loved ones out of the behemoth that is modern technological medicine. If and when you really need that technology, it's there for you, but make educated choices. More expensive, more technological solutions are not always the best, the safest, or ultimately the most effective.
